Villarreal 3-1 Napoli: Mikautadze and Oluwaseyi Sink Partenopei | Champions League Report

Villarreal came from behind to beat Napoli 3-1 at the Estadio de la Cerámica, leaving the Italian side still searching for their first point of the Champions League campaign. According to Arena Live, goals from Georges Mikautadze, Santiago Mouriño, and Tani Oluwaseyi sealed a deserved win for the Yellow Submarine.

Key Moments:

8' - Amir Rrahmani: Napoli took an early lead when Kevin De Bruyne's short corner found Billy Gilmour, whose cross was headed home by Rrahmani after hitting the post.
23' - Georges Mikautadze: Villarreal equalised after a disastrous back-pass from Matteo Politano was intercepted by Mikautadze, who rounded Vanja Milinković-Savić and finished from a tight angle.
26' - Santiago Mouriño: Just three minutes later, Mouriño unleashed an unstoppable long-range strike to put Villarreal ahead.
86' - Tani Oluwaseyi: The substitute sealed the win on a fast counter-attack, converting Ayoze Pérez's inadvertent pass to make it 3-1.

Napoli's Nightmare: Massimiliano Allegri's side have now lost both of their opening Champions League fixtures. Individual errors proved costly, with Politano's back-pass leading directly to Mikautadze's equaliser. Rasmus Højlund was wasteful in front of goal, and Napoli's night went from bad to worse when they failed to capitalise on a temporary numerical advantage.

Villarreal's Clinical Display: Inigo Pérez's side were efficient in front of goal, scoring three times from just four shots on target. Mikautadze was a constant threat, while Mouriño's strike was one of the goals of the night. The win moves Villarreal onto three points in Group F.
