Borussia Dortmund 2-2 Werder Bremen: Füllkrug Haunts Former Club in Dramatic Draw | Bundesliga Report

Borussia Dortmund were held to a dramatic 2-2 draw by Werder Bremen at SIGNAL IDUNA PARK, with former striker Niclas Füllkrug scoring a stoppage-time equaliser against his old club. According to Arena Live, Dortmund scored twice in five late minutes, only for Bremen to launch a stunning comeback in the dying stages.

Key Moments:

80' - Daniel Svensson: The defender broke the deadlock, finishing off Fabio Silva's assist to put Dortmund ahead.
85' - Nico Schlotterbeck: Dortmund doubled their lead five minutes later, with the centre-back heading home Joey Veerman's cross.
88' - Ludovit Reis: Bremen pulled one back almost immediately, Reis converting Oscar Wójcik's assist to set up a tense finale.
90+2' - Niclas Füllkrug: The former Dortmund striker broke the hosts' hearts, heading home Marco Grüll's cross to level the score and seal a dramatic draw.

Dortmund's Collapse: Niko Kovač's side looked to have secured all three points after Svensson and Schlotterbeck struck late. However, defensive lapses allowed Bremen back into the game. Füllkrug's late header — his fourth goal in his last four matches against Dortmund — capped a remarkable comeback.

Bremen's Resilience: Werder Bremen, missing eight players through injury, showed incredible character. Despite having just 28% possession, they registered 11 shots and generated 1.13 xG. Füllkrug's late equaliser was just reward for their persistence.
